MDS-PAS School for Young Neurologists - Buenos Aires
The third MDS-PAS School for Young Neurologists will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, September 11-13, 2014.
Young neurologists who are interested in training in the field of Movement Disorders, as well as those who already have some experience in Movement Disorders will be taught by an MDS-PAS international faculty of senior Movement Disorders specialists.
Day One will focus on Hypokinetic Disorders and will include examinations of patients with such disorders.
Day Two will focus on Hyperkinetic Disorders and participants will be able to not only examine patients, but also participate in a Botulinum Toxin Workshop in which they will be able to observe experts examining a patient and administering Botulinum Toxin. On this day students will also share their own patient videos with their fellow participants.
Day Three will continue to discuss Hyperkinetic Disorders and a review of the course.
Registration will be capped at 48 students.
At the conclusion of the workshop participants should be able to:
Examine a patient with a movement disorder
Reach a diagnosis on straightforward movement disorders cases
Propose a differential diagnosis on more complex movement disorders patients
Present a movement disorders case history
Design, review and modify a patient treatment plan
Young neurologists within five years of their completion of general neurological training who are interested in specializing in Movement Disorders and young neurologists who are already training in Movement Disorders.
