The International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society's Asian and Oceanian Section (MDS-AOS), the Thai Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Society (Thai PDMDS), and the Thai Red Cross invite all patients and carers to attend the 10th International Symposium of the Asian and Pacific Parkinsonism Association (APPA).

This one-day symposium will provide an in-depth overview of the most current trends and treatments of movement disorders by regional and international specialists. The official language of the symposium will be Thai; however, there will be translation for English-speaking participants.

The tentative 10th APPA schedule is as follows:

8.00 – 9.00 Opening Ceremony
9.30 – 1.00 Plenary Sessions
1.00 – 2.00 Lunch (provided)
2.00 – 5.00 Parallel Session

Registration rates will be requested as follows:

Rates for 1 person (person with Parkinson or caregiver)
Before September 30, 2014: $15 USD
September 30, 2014 - October 22, 2014: $20 USD
On-site: $25 USD

Rate for 2 persons (eg person with Parkinson with accompanying caregiver):
Before September 30, 2014: $20 USD
September 30, 2014 - October 22, 2014: $30 USD
Onsite: $40 USD

Registration will open before May 15, 2014. 

The APPA was formed in 1997. The Association holds a biennial symposium whose primary aim is to raise the awareness of Parkinson's disease in the community and to improve the care of patients with Parkinson's disease in the Asia-Pacific region. Since its inaugural meeting in Malaysia, this Symposium has been hosted by Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Australia, Singapore, India and Taiwan.
