Poster Boards

Poster boards will be placed according to number. Abstract numbers will be affixed to the upper left hand corner of the poster boards prior to the setup time.

Poster presentations should be prepared for a bulletin board display that measures 8 feet (243 cm) wide by 4 feet (122 cm) high. The upper left corner of the board should be reserved for the poster number. Poster board surfaces are upholstered with fireproof cloth material suitable for documents to be attached with thumb tacks. Each poster board will be provided with thumb tacks for this use.

Poster Presentation Materials

Posters should include a short and comprehensive review of the basic items of the study. This can be done by dividing text into several clear sections including: title and authors, introduction, case reports/material/methods, figures/graphs/photos, results, conclusions, and major references. A good way to create your poster text is to use a laser printer and enlarge the text photographically until it can be easily read at a distance of approximately five feet (1.524 meters).

Video Presentation

Authors that wish to enhance their poster with a video presentation on their laptop computer should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the session start time in order to connect their laptop to the provided power cords. Please notify the MDS International Secretariat should you no longer require power and a table for your laptop. In preparing your video presentation, please note that Video Cassette Recorders (VCRs), monitors and laptops will not be provided, and Internet access will not be available in this area.

Authors who have not requested power and a table for their laptop, but wish to do so, may contact the MDS International Secretariat at congress@movementdisorders.org. All requests must be received no later than May 16, 2008. After this date, accommodations will not be possible.
