Abstracts
Abstract Submission Guidelines
The Movement Disorder Society (MDS) invites Members as well as non-members to submit original abstracts for presentation during the 13th International Congress of Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders in Paris, France, June 7 - 11, 2009.
MDS expects that all abstracts selected for presentation will be presented by the original author(s) and that no submitted abstracts will be withdrawn. Please do not submit an abstract if you are not prepared to travel to the meeting and present it in the session selected by MDS.
All submitted abstracts become the property of MDS.
Abstract receipt deadline for electronic submission: January 16, 2009.
Abstracts Presented at Other Meetings
Abstracts that have been presented at other meetings may be submitted if they have not been published and if the meeting name and date are cited accordingly.
Eligibility
MDS members and non-members are eligible to submit abstracts.
Submission fee
There is no fee for submitting an abstract.
Language
Abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
Length
Abstracts are limited to 2,500 characters (including spaces).
Internet Submission
The sole means of submission is via the Internet. Abstracts submitted must be received by January 16, 2009.
Review Process
The MDS Congress Scientific Program Committee will review all abstracts in January 2009. Authors are required to select one category under which their abstract should be reviewed.
Notification
Presenting authors will be notified via e-mail of abstract acceptance in late February 2009.
Publication
All abstracts accepted for presentation will be published in Movement Disorders, the official journal of The Movement Disorder Society.
Abstract Presentation
All abstracts will be considered for poster presentation during designated times of the MDS Congress. Poster Sessions allow the review of a poster illustration of your abstract.
Daily poster presentations will be made Monday, June 8 through Thursday, June 11. A detailed schedule will be sent to all poster presenters with their notification letter in regards to the date and time they will be required to present their poster and research.
