De Novo Parkinson's Disease: Diagnosis and Treatment

On April 24, 2010, 125 neurologists gathered at the Egas Moniz Building at the University of Lisbon Faculty of Medicine in Lisbon, Portugal to attend the course entitled De Novo Parkinson's Disease: Diagnosis and Treatment.

This course addressed the diagnosis and treatment of De Novo Parkinson's disease. Parkinson's disease can be difficult to diagnose in the early stages, and use of symptomatic and neuroprotective treatments remains controversial.

This course provided education on the process of accurate diagnosis, assessment of progression, and how to optimize treatment strategies in patients with Parkinson's disease.
