Course Description

The Evidence-Based Medicine Update on Treatments for Parkinson’s Disease outlines the concept of EBM and then presents the findings from the recent reviews.  This was followed by case scenarios thereby putting theory into practice.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants were able to accomplish the following:

  1. Explain the concept of evidence-based medicine
  2. List the treatments available for the management of motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease
  3. Identify the role of each agent in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease as indicated by the evidence-based review
  4. Discuss the clinical applications of each treatment in the management of Parkinson’s disease
