Case: A 25 year old gentleman presented with gradual onset of symptoms of clicking and locking of his jaw with spasms of his jaw muscles on the right side since the age of 17 years. He initially underwent TM joint arthroscopy and surgery on the TM joint for this symptoms. The spasms are aggravated by drinking coffee, stress and fatigue. He especially notes difficulty in public speaking.

About Susan H. Fox, B.Sc, MB ChB, MRCP(UK), PhD
Dr. Susan Fox trained in Medicine in Manchester, UK and earned her PhD in Neuropharmacology of Movement Disorders from University of Manchester. She completed her Neurology training in Liverpool, UK, where she was appointed Consultant Neurologist from 2001 to 2003. She moved to Canada in November 2003 to take up a position as Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Movement Disorders Clinic, Toronto Western Hospital where she has continued her clinical work and research interests into the neural mechanisms underlying movement disorders.
