2012 Congress Blue Ribbon Highlights
In this October/November edition, we are pleased to share the 2012 Blue Ribbon Highlights which took place at the 16th International Congress in Dublin, Ireland.
The Blue Ribbon Highlights are held every year at the International Congress and provide a forum for a critical review of the best poster presentations by a panel of experts. This session highlights the relevance, novelty, and quality of both clinical and basic research presented by the delegates.
For those who were unable to attend this year we are providing the presentations on the website. Further details on the papers included can be found at www.mdsabstracts.com. Don’t miss this interesting session next year in Sydney, Australia at the 17th International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders, June 16-20, 2013!

It’s not too early to begin planning for the next Congress being held in the "land down under,” in beautiful Sydney, Australia, next June 16-20, 2013.
In order to help you with your plans, the Society now has launched a dedicated website just for the 2013 Congress. Go to www.mdscongress2013.org to learn all about the abstract submission process, registration, CME information, travel grants, housing, visiting Sydney, and much more!
UDysRS Training Program & Exercise Now Online
The Movement Disorder Society has established a Training Program & Exercise for use of the Unified Dyskinesia Rating Scale. Like the MDS-UPDRS program, this tool allows participants to learn about the use of the scale, see examples of a rater administering the test to patients, and to view examples of the rating items. The program is free for MDS members to use. Click here to go to the UDysRS Training Program & Exercise.
New! Book Reviews of Movement Disorders Publications
We are pleased to begin offering book reviews of Movement Disorders publications on the MDS website. In the coming months, look for more reviews on the homepage. If you are interested in reviewing a book, or submitting an idea for a review, please suggest the title, author and publication date to email@example.com. Be sure to visit the MDS Bookstore to purchase Movement Disorders publications. Each purchase from this section benefits MDs and helps further the mission of the Society!
