2012 Congress Blue Ribbon Highlights
One of the many highlights from the 16th International Congress that took place in Dublin, Ireland, in June 2012 was the annual Blue Ribbon Highlights. This event provides a forum for a critical review of the best poster presentations by a panel of experts and highlights the relevance, novelty, and quality of both clinical and basic research presented by the delegates.
This year the Blue Ribbon Highlights were chaired by Christopher Goetz, MD, Chicago, and Timothy Lynch, MB, BSc, FRCPI, FRCP, Dublin. The panel was led by Hubert Fernandez, MD, of Cleveland, Ohio, USA and Jose Obeso, MD, PhD, of Pamplona, Spain.
The idea is to help attendants understand the key new scientific findings from the poster presentations at the annual Congress, list the target areas of research focus for the next Congress, and identify future primary areas of research.
For those who were unable to attend the 2012 Congress, we are providing the presentations on the website. Further details on the papers included can be found at www.mdsabstracts.com.
