2013 Regional Section Video Case Competition
In other news, we are excited to announce that the second annual Regional Section Video Case competition is under way!
In an effort to increase international participation in Case of the Month, MDS is seeking video cases from members of the three Regional Sections to enter into a competition. The Society is looking for illustrative cases with a lesson to be learned, and with a reasonable etiologic and pathophysiologic explanation for the findings. Cases from all countries in these regions are encouraged, as well as participation from movement disorder fellows under faculty mentorship.
The Video Case Competition officially runs from Tuesday, January 1 through Tuesday, April 1, 2013. After cases are received and processed by the MDS Secretariat, the Regional Chairs for each section will be sent the cases for review. Two entries from each Region will be selected and sent to the Web Editorial Board for final judging. Finalists will be notified by email in May. First, second, and third place winners will be announced at the 17th International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders in Sydney, Australia, next June.
The first-place winner will receive an Amazon Gift Card valued at $200 USD that can be used to purchase books on the MDS Bookstore. All video cases that are selected as finalists will be featured on the MDS website throughout 2013.
