Our Society
The Movement Disorder Society (MDS) is an international professional society of clinicians, scientists and other healthcare professionals who are interested in Parkinson's disease, related neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders, hyperkinetic Movement Disorders and abnormalities in muscle tone and motor control.

International Congress
The Movement Disorder Society (MDS) gathers thousands of the field's clinicians, researchers, trainees and industry supporters on an annual basis at its International Congress of Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders. The purpose of the MDS International Congress is to share ideas, encourage interest among all those involved in the care and research of Movement Disorders, to participate in the activities of MDS and to advance the related clinical and scientific discipline.
Announcements
MDS welcomes submissions from nonprofit organizations for job postings, grants, fellowships, notices and conference/workshop information for placement on the Website.
Membership
MDS works to advance the sciences by disseminating knowledge about Movement Disorders and by promoting research into causes, prevention and treatment of these disorders. Membership categories include: Regular, Junior, Health Professional, Student, and Waived Dues.
Publications
The Movement Disorder Society produces several publications in order to disseminate information, to communicate the latest research and to provide opportunities for its members to share ideas. Many of these publications are offered as membership benefits.
Regional Sections
Created not only to further the goals and objectives of MDS International, The Movement Disorder Society's regional sections strive to increase the interest, education and participation of neurologists, Movement Disorder specialists, non-Movement Disorder specialists, trainees, health professionals and scientists in the Asian and Oceanian, European, Pan American and Sub-Saharan Africa regions.
