AOS Training Fellowship Program

Dr. Tai Tran from Ho Chi Minh City, winner of the 2012 AOS Training Fellowship, reports on his experience with the Asia-Pacific Centre for Neuromodulation at the University of Queensland in Australia. Dr. Tran's program director at the APCN, Prof. Peter Silburn, also reports on their experience hosting the 2012 AOS Training Fellowship recipient. Read more about Dr. Tran's experience here. Movement Disorder Society of Japan

The Movement Disorder Society of Japan (MDSJ) was established in May, 2001. The main aim of the society is to promote clinical and basic studies of movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease. MDSJ is organized similarly to the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS), with a President, Secretary, Treasurer, President-elect, Secretary-elect, Treasurer-elect and Past President as officers and an Executive Committee (EC) with several members. At present, MDSJ has about 770 members in total. Read more about the MDSJ here.

Parkinson's Disease Congress and DBS Course
Penang, Malaysia

The Malaysian Parkinson’s Disease & DBS Course took place on August 23-24, 2013 in Penang, Malaysia. The conference was attended by 159 delegates from Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia and the Philippines. The event was held under the auspices of the Movement Disorder Council (Malaysian Society of Neurosciences) and The International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society – Asian and Oceanian Section (MDS-AOS).
