The Vancouver Allied Team Training for Parkinson’s (ATTP™) is a three-day onsite course which will take place in Vancouver, BC, Canada, April 4-6, 2018.

The faculty consists of an interdisciplinary team of Parkinson’s Foundation (PF) and International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society-Pan American Section (MDS-PAS) senior movement disorder specialists.

The Vancouver ATTP™ has been developed in collaboration with PF and MDS-PAS to increase knowledge of Parkinson’s disease (PD) and build capacity for comprehensive interprofessional care in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.

The course is intended for nurses, nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, physician assistants, physical therapists, speech language pathologists, social workers and physicians who are interested in education about management of medications and care challenges in Parkinson’s disease. State of the art care can make the difference between satisfaction and despair for patients, caregivers and the staff providing the care.

Prior to the course, each registrant will complete three online preparatory modules which include an overview of Parkinson’s disease (PD), interdisciplinary care teams, and neuropsychiatric symptoms and management.
