African Section Leadership Positions

Role of MDS-African Section Executive Committee Members:  

It is the responsibility of every member of the MDS-AS Leadership to fully and actively participate in the African Section Leadership Meetings and Activities. The expectations include regular attendance at Executive Committee meetings and timely responses to the various polls and other related requests issued throughout the term of service. Executive Committee members must be current MDS Members.

Executive Committee Members should have the following qualities: 

  • Ability to work in teams 

  • Scientific and/or clinical reputation 

  • Organized working style, responsive to requests 

  • Ability to represent the Society and Region 

  • Representation of different disciplines (Neurology, Neurosurgery, Basic Sciences, etc.) 

Proxy voting is now open for the 2021-2023 elections for MDS Leadership positions.

Please visit this page to submit your proxy ballot by September 10. In order to vote in the election, members must submit a proxy ballot. The ballots will be tallied at the MDS Business Meeting and Regional Assemblies.
