Specifically designed to enable those on a lower income to join the Society. Individuals who reside in countries classified as "low-income," "lower-middle-income" or "upper-middle-income" economies by the World Bank are eligible.* Benefits include all member benefits except the print journal Movement Disorders. Waived Dues Members need to apply every 3 years in order to renew their membership.
Delegates of the International Congress, attendees of MDS hosted live courses and participants in MDS online training will receive one year (12 months) of membership and member benefits* immediately upon acceptance to the Society, for no charge.
Eligible delegates will be contacted one month following the eligible activity. The International Secretariat will provide special instructions to apply online for associate membership with the Society. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply online within 30 days of being contacted.
Applies to those who have obtained retiree status from the profession of clinician, faculty, health professional or researcher in the field of movement disorders. Retiree Members shall retain all listed member benefits except that they shall not hold elective office, have voting rights, nor receive the print journal. Further information may be requested of you if joining as a new member.

The Society invites other neurological organizations and groups specializing in Movement Disorders to become an Affiliate Member of MDS to encourage research and enhance the education of physicians across the globe.
No application fee is required to file for Affiliate Membership status.
