Eliminating barriers with no-cost membership options

To improve the treatment of movement disorders around the globe, MDS offers no-cost membership in every member category for individuals from lower-income countries, as well as for students, junior members and retirees.

Health Professional
(Non-Physician)

Applies to nurses, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, occupational therapists, physical/physiotherapists, music therapists, speech therapists, clinical psychologists, dietitians, genetic counselors, social workers, lab technicians, and research coordinators.

Basic Scientist

Applies to individuals whose primary role is research in the fields of Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or Mathematics (including sub-disciplines: anatomy, physiology, statistics, neuroscience, pathology, biochemistry) fundamental to the study of medicine.

Applies to residents, fellows, and those training in healthcare or scientific research.
Status must be certified in writing by the member's employer or training facilitator. Applications received without a training verification letter will be placed on hold until documentation is received and verified.

Applies to medical students and undergraduate, master's, graduate-level, post-graduate, and PhD students in medicine and science.

Retiree

Applies to those who have retired from the field of movement disorders in the profession of clinician, faculty, health professional or researcher.
