Letter from the Editor

On behalf of the Moving Along Editorial Board, we would like to thank the entire MDS community for the enthusiasm demonstrated in contributing to our new issue of Moving Along. We are excited to inform you that Moving Along is now being featured in its new digital platform. In response to the reality of today’s virtual space and the Society’s desire to stay competitive with digital communication, the Moving Along Editorial Board and the MDS Secretariat examined the advantages of transitioning away from the static layout it once was.

To disseminate the content of this newsletter in the most efficient and effective way, the Editorial Board recently decided to move the current newsletter to a completely digital platform. By adapting this format, the visitors will now be able to read on mobile or tablets which will reach a wider audience through MDS membership and beyond.

Content from Moving Along articles will now be searchable throughout the MDS website and all search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) making Moving Along a dynamic resource and useful benefit for members and the wider movement disorders community. In addition, each article will have a unique URL, which will allow for easy sharing on social media platforms and provide more comprehensive website analytics. We look forward to receiving your feedback on this new exciting development.

I also would like to take this opportunity to welcome four new members on our editorial board (Dr. Katarzyna Smilowska, Dr. Sergio Rodriguez -Quiroga, Dr. Catalina Cerquera Cleves, Dr. Chaewon Shin) who joined the Board as of January 1, 2022. We look forward to their contributions to Moving Along. To learn more about your new Editorial Board members, please see their introduction videos:

We would like to thank the MDS Officers, International Executive Committee, Regional Section leadership, and all of the MDS staff for their amazing support in continuing to make all this possible.

Antonio Strafella, MD, PhD, FRCPC
Moving Along Editor (2022-2024)
