The 3rd annual World Movement Disorders Day on November 29, 2024 reached a record 10.5 million people around the globe, raising awareness about movement disorders and the stigma people with them can face.
For 2024, we asked everyone: “What do you wish everyone knew about movement disorders?” That sparked discussion and sharing across the globe and across social platforms.

The “fighting stigma” theme resonated strongly with people who live with movement disorders and their advocates, with several sharing their personal experiences:
