Task Force on Revising MDS Parkinson’s Disease Dementia Criteria

Task Force Mandate

The task force has a mandate to generate two complementary outputs:

1. A review and consensus paper on cognitive impairment across the Lewy body spectrum that integrates recent advances and provides a framework for understanding the continuum of cognitive changes, from subjective complaints and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) through Parkinson’s disease dementia (PDD) and dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB).
2. A focused consensus report that establishes updated, practical diagnostic criteria for PDD, informed by the broader spectrum framework and harmonized with PD-MCI definitions where appropriate.
